This is in response to sustained increases in global fuel prices, and ongoing volatility in energy markets driven by geopolitical conflict overseas that is greatly impacting operational costs.

Fuel surcharges have become common for other regional transportation options between the Island and mainland, both by sea and by air, with charges up to $20. Hullo’s fuel surcharge remains substantially lower, at a fixed cost of $3.78 per person, per sailing.
